The Corn Festival parade is one of the largest parades in Central Illinois this time of year. We consistently have 100+ entries with everything from local businesses and churches to the school groups, antique vehicles, tractors, etc. It always makes for a great parade and we hope to see you there. The parade form (top line on this page) needs to be filled out and returned before the deadline so your float/group can be announced during the parade.
Please remember, the parade line-up is at 10:00 and starts at the Unit 11 District Office. The Parade starts at 12:00 Noon at the corner of 5th & Walnut. Anyone participating in the parade needs to enter at the District office drive to prevent any accidents and unnecessary traffic in the congested line-up area. We appreciate everyone helping us to make this a safe and enjoyable experience.
Parade Route shown below. From 5th & Walnut it turns South on Sycamore to 1st. Then East on 1st to Cherry, and North on Cherry to 5th. The last stretch is back West on 5th to the school. If you are in the parade please try and save some candy for the kids that get shorted every year on North Cherry and 5th Street. The announcer will be somewhere near the corner of 1st and Elm towards the library.
